Photographs from the journeys: In 1414 AH, members of Buraidah’s camel-racing community set out on a three-day journey from the camel-racing grounds south of Ain Al-Otaishan, east of Buraidah, to Nawazir, passing through Qa‘ Mut‘ib, Aba Al-Warani, Al-Sarif, and Al-Bandariyah. The journey included mudhaha midday stops and mu‘ashsha evening camps. During these rests, the elders spoke about Al-Oqilat men, their stories and poetry, and poems composed in their honor. Participants were Mohammed Al-Hamad Al-Mukairish; Sulaiman Al-Jutaili; Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Shuraidah; Nassar Al-Mudhhiyan; Abdullah Al-Tuwaian; Abdullah Al-Saleh Al-Salim; Rashid Al-Aslami (Al-Mutawwa); Saleh Al-Jarbou‘; Ali Al-Sulaiman Al-Mudhhiyan; Youssef Al-Ardah; Abdulaziz Al-Abdulkarim Al-Salloum; Hamad Al-Jutaili; Ali Al-Abdullah Al-Shuraidah; Abdulaziz Al-Sughair; Ali Al-Sa‘nouni; and Abdulrahman Al-Tuwaian. The route was planned, organized, equipped, photographed, and led by Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Salloum, senior auctioneer at Buraidah Livestock City—may Allah protect him.

The travelers reach Marid Al-Sarif on the afternoon of the second day.

Dinner on the third day of the journey at Nawadir. Mohammed Al-Salloum appears during a journey from Buraidah to the Spring Festival in Al-Tarfiyah; the midday stop was hosted by Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Rabdi.
