His Royal Highness the Governor of Al-Qassim Region Visits the Al-Oqilat Museum

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, visited the Al-Oqilat Museum in Buraidah and toured its galleries. He viewed its heritage artifacts, photographs, and Al-Oqilat documents, as well as armor belonging to King Saud bin Abdulaziz—may Allah have mercy on him—which he wore in the battles to unify the Kingdom alongside the founding King, culminating in the Battle of Al-Sabillah. His Royal Highness praised the museum, its heritage collection, and the efforts devoted to preserving and caring for this legacy.

The museum’s owner and Al-Oqilat researcher, Abdullatif bin Saleh Al-Wuhaibi, explained that its collection includes more than 3,000 photographs of Al-Oqilat families, 1,500 documents, and dozens of personal artifacts.

In its early days, photographs of the Aqeel Museum were presented to His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region. May Allah protect him. He stressed the importance of preserving Al-Oqilat heritage and presenting their history to their descendants and the present generation, and praised the museum for safeguarding that heritage.
