The participation of the Al-Oqilat descendants attracted the attention of many visitors to Janadriyah. The Al-Oqilat drove camels from Al-Qassim to the Fertile Crescent for sale in its leading markets. They also bought camels throughout the Arabian Peninsula and drove them to Kuwait, Iraq, the Levant, Jordan, Palestine, Turkey, and Egypt.

The supervisor of the Al-Oqilat program, Abdullatif bin Saleh Al-Wuhaibi, explained that this group of young men is known as the “Al-Oqilat Descendants.” Through festivals, processions, camps, historical photographs, and camel journeys, they recreate aspects of the lives of the Al-Oqilat.

The program seeks to honor the memory of their fathers and forefathers and to introduce the public to their distinguished history, enlightened culture, and honorable deeds.
